i had an eventful day... i managed to get all kinds of deals, i have realised that i am strongly opposed to paying full price for anything, perhaps too many trips to india does that to you. too much of bargain shopping. so anyway... i picked up a pair of bongo drums for £8... awesome! i bought a beautiful djembe in bali. i have enough instruments now to start a band... except I can hardly play any of them!! its a bad sounding noise but I totally love it. my maracas are my favourite, i picked them up at a thrift market in sydney for 2 dollars.the hilarious thing about them is that there are hardly any friggen seeds in them, so you gotta pretty much shake your arms off to get the sound out. the girls at the table i bought them from were betting that those would be the last to go, but they found a loving home in my backpack. so... now am fully equipped for jam sessions. i just need to learn how to play and pehaps aquire some friends to jam with. FUN
So im packing my things for South Africa. It feels strange that I have not been there for 5 years, and I realise now how long I have not seen my family for. It has made me realise how much Ive missed them. My momsy is going to be in Durban when Im there too, so I get the whole deal. I dont really know what to expect. It's long since been home to me but I know it will be awesome to have some familiarity and friendly faces. I have not had much time to think of anything but work lately and everyone has been asking me if Im sick so I guess that means its time for a break. Happy Days.
But tonight I have a hot date with Edward. New Moon is out and I am ashamed to admit that I got bitten by that ridiculous Twilight Saga. It has been the perfect escape I have needed from the doom and gloom of whats going on around me. I must say this author totally tapped into the female brain... I reckon if guys studied these books they might learn a thing or two. But then again, the female brain is a maze, the minute you think you've got it sussed you turn a corner and bang!oh and i am totally loving the florence + the machines cover of you've got the love
check out the link... k im not sure what she's up to on that little ray of moonshine but i love this song, probably because its about jesus.
